At the Creative Media Summer School, taking place from 22–26 June 2026, ideas take shape and develop into real impact.
Students from the Department of Media and Digital Technologies and partner universities come together to explore new perspectives, work on real challenges, and develop ideas collaboratively.
Whether on Campus St. Pölten or online, the Summer School creates space for exchange, experimentation, and new ways of understanding what media means today—shaped by people, questions, and application.

Workshop: #IMM2026 Future Tech Bootcamp
The 4‑day Crossborder Co‑Creation Session took place from 4–8 May 2026 in Hainburg, Vienna, and online.
Bringing together students, makers, companies, and partners from the Vienna–Bratislava region, it marked the first major event at the future Europacampus Hainburg.

The Creative Media Summer School 2026 will take place from 22–26 June 2026 at USTP – University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten.
USTP – University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten is a provider of performance-oriented university education with a strong practical relevance in the areas of Media, Economics, Digital Technologies, Computer Science, Security, Rail Technology, Health Sciences, and Social Sciences.
Today our UAS has approximately 3,700 students in 30 study programmes and numerous further education programmes. In addition to education, USTP engages in intensive research. It carries out scientific work in the aforementioned areas by adopting a cross-institutional and interdisciplinary approach.
The study programmes maintain a constant dialogue with the institutes which continuously develop and implement application-oriented research projects with a strong practical focus.
General information
After successful completion of a workshop (= participation throughout the entire week), students receive an official certificate confirming that they obtained 5 ECTS credits. Enjoy international high-quality workshops in the field of the creative media industry.

Student’s participation in the offered workshops is free of charge except of a mandatory contribution to the ÖH-Austrian Students Union (EUR 25.20 at the moment). This will provide them with personal accident and liability insurance via the ÖH during their stay in Austria. For some workshops material costs might be applicable. The E.I.N.S. Open Innovation Hub for Creative Industries & Digital Media at USTP – University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten is led by Franz Fidler. The Hub functions as a catalyst for creativity, innovation and growth in the creative industries and in the field of digital media in St. Pölten and on a European level.
It offers a range of activities in the field of entrepreneurial education, networking and matchmaking and support for start-ups. The Hub works in close connection with the thriving ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in St. Pölten, offering opportunities for networking between the city of St. Pölten and USTP. It supports accessing state-of-the-art facilities, training, workshops or hackathons - connects with mentors, provides networking opportunities and resources to support the development of new ideas, products, services and business models.
